NISCAIR AIS Alumni Association is dedicated to bringing together the alumni community on a common platform to build another channel of
personal and professional support to members through 'self-help' within community.

Our Mission
- to the NISCAIR alumni by helping each other in social networking,
and professional networking - job opportunities, entrepreneurship, business contacts.
- to the community in which we live.
- to the rural India towards education and public outreach.
- to NISCAIR
In order to achieve these goals, we intend to create a not-for-profit
professional body. Currently, we have the following SIGs (Special Interest Groups) to achieve our goals:
- Business: (jobs, networking, start-ups, venture etc.)
- Outdoors: (outdoor activities, picnics, camping, hiking etc.)
- Cultural: (Cultural events, movies, dinners, potlucks etc.)
- Communications: (Web, registering non-profit, communications with NISCAIR
and other NISCAIR Alumni.)
- Philanthropy: (Community outreach, Rural Education in
India etc.)

The NISCAIR AIS Alumni Association is the collective body of over 850 alumni of National Institute Of Science
Communication And Information Resources , New Delhi. Apart from serving as a base for information about
the alumni, it initiates programs and organizes events important to alumni, their alma mater, and in the national interest.
Among the important objectives of the Association are:
- To promote and foster mutually beneficial interaction between
the Alumni and the present students of NISCAIR New Delhi, and between Alumni themselves.
- To
encourage the Alumni to take an active and abiding interest in the work and progress of the Institute as well as the UGC recognisation.
- To
contribute towards the enhancement of the social utility of their Alma Mater.
- Promote and enhance the NISCAIR brand
- Provide a networking forum for the NISCAIR alumni
- Provide a platform for professional development of the NISCAIR alumni
The NISCAIR is the original pioneers of information
science education and research not only in India as well as SAARC and today rank amongst the best information science institution
across the world. Armed with state-of-the-art information science ,management knowledge, skills and human & social
orientation, NISCAIR alumni, the "crme de la crme of information" and managerial talent, are globally spread
and occupy important leadership positions in business, academia, government, arts and sports.
